Artisan foods, fine moods — and respect for your privacy. This notice explains how we look after your information when you use our website, get in touch or book with The Larder House or The Library.
Last updated: 11 September 2026
Global Larder Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this notice (the “data controller”). If you have a privacy question or want to exercise your rights, please contact us:
Email: reservations@thelarderhouse.co.uk
Telephone: 01202 424 687
Post: The Larder House, 4 Southbourne Grove, Southbourne, Bournemouth, BH6 3QZ.
Fields marked with an asterisk are needed to handle that request. If you do not provide the required contact or booking details, we may be unable to reply or arrange your reservation. Please only send information relevant to your enquiry, and do not include payment-card details in our contact form.
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for using personal information. We use:
Reading or acknowledging this policy is not consent to marketing. Booking a table or sending an enquiry does not, by itself, sign you up to promotional messages.
Some requests may reveal sensitive information about your health. Please share only what we need to help with your visit. Where we need to record health information, we will explain its use and ask for explicit consent unless another lawful condition applies. It will only be available to people who need it to handle your request. You can contact us to withdraw that consent; this may affect our ability to accommodate the particular request.
Our online reservation service is provided through ResDiary, including the booking window embedded on this website. Information entered there is processed through its booking system so that we can manage your reservation and send related confirmations or updates.
ResDiary stores booking records on our behalf. We remain responsible for how we use those records and for choosing appropriate retention settings. If payment or card security is requested during a booking, the booking service will explain the payment provider and terms at that stage.
Please also read the privacy information presented in the booking service. Any separate ResDiary account or services you use may be covered by its own notices.
Our website is hosted on Webflow. Contact-form submissions are processed and stored through Webflow and may also be delivered to our enquiry mailbox. Access is limited to the people and service providers who need it to run the website or respond to you.
We use Google reCAPTCHA to help distinguish genuine enquiries from automated spam and abuse. It processes technical and interaction information for security and may set a necessary cookie called _GRECAPTCHA. Google processes reCAPTCHA customer data on our behalf.
More information: Webflow privacy information and Google reCAPTCHA information.
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies can also store or access information. Some are needed to provide a service you request or protect the website; others help measure how the site is used.
The cookie banner lets you accept or reject optional analytics. You can reopen it at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. The intended Analytics setup will only load after you opt in; its connection and live behaviour are being checked before launch. Withdrawing consent will stop future optional analytics collection; it does not undo processing already carried out with consent.
We remember your choice on this device using a necessary local-storage entry called lh-cookie-choice-v1. It expires after 180 days; you may be asked again sooner if you clear browser storage or we materially change the options. The final cookie inventory must also identify the cookies used by Analytics, security and the booking service, with their providers, purposes and lifetimes.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We share relevant information with providers supporting our website, bookings, email, IT and security, including Webflow, ResDiary and Google as described above. Professional advisers, insurers or public authorities may receive information where necessary for advice, a legal obligation or a claim.
Links to our voucher shop, Parlourmentary’s online store and social media take you to other services. Those services explain their own use of information in their privacy notices. Please read them before providing personal or payment details.
Some of our technology providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK. Where a transfer is restricted by UK data protection law, an appropriate transfer mechanism is required, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
We may retain relevant records longer if an ongoing matter, dispute or legal obligation requires it. Records no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised, with backups removed through their normal replacement cycle.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access your personal information, correct it, have it erased, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can object to direct marketing at any time. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.
Contact reservations@thelarderhouse.co.uk to make a request. We may need to check your identity. We normally respond within one month; if an extension is permitted for a complex request, we will explain why. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please let us know so we can try to put things right. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
We will update this page when our services or use of personal information change. The date above shows when it was last revised.
Our online voucher shop is hosted by GiftPro, which administers voucher orders on our behalf. Your voucher purchase contract is with The Larder House.
Purchaser and, where relevant, recipient details are used to fulfil orders, deliver vouchers and handle order enquiries. Order processing is necessary to perform the purchase contract. Payment details go directly to the payment provider; we do not see or hold full card details. The voucher privacy notice also describes statistical analysis based on legitimate interests and marketing with your consent.
The voucher shop’s privacy notice specifies a ten-year retention period for personal information collected for these purposes. This is separate from the twelve-month period for general enquiries described above. You can contact us about your voucher information or use the shop’s data-removal request form.
Please read the voucher shop privacy notice and voucher terms and conditions. The voucher shop has separate cookie controls; choices made on this website do not automatically apply there.
